Shed Five Thirty

Hawkes Bay Winery

Brand, Packaging & Comms

Shed Five Thirty was founded in an old shearing shed at 530 Puketapu Road which inspired the name. Situated in a well established Hastings wine making region they combine a cellar door, restaurant and event venue with a working winery.

Embracing a modern take on rustic farmhouse aesthetic I created a 530 monogram and a written wordmark that can be used together or seperately. A simple wine label layout was created using wood patterns derived from the original shearing shed, with an emboss and spot gloss 530 and foiled text along with dieline to create a subtle rough edge. Providing this layout in five different label sizes and wood textures, the simplicity of the system allows for their inhouse designer to apply the label across around fifteen varietals annually. There’s also plenty of opportunity for variation in future labels while maintaining brand recognition.
